How Motagon collects and uses personal data.
Who we are
Motagon s.r.o., Lomnického 1742/2a, Nusle, 140 00 Praha 4, Czech Republic, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
What we collect
When you submit an enquiry form we collect the name, organisation, email address, country and message you provide, together with your stated audience category. Analytics are used only with your consent.
Why we process it
To respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to manage a business relationship with you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or the performance of a contract.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is retained for three years from our last contact with you, which matches the general limitation period under the Czech Civil Code, and then deleted. Subscription data is kept until you unsubscribe. Healthcare professional account records are kept for the life of the account and three years after it closes.
Email updates you ask for
Where you subscribe to company news, product availability updates or event invitations, we use your email address, and your profession where you give it, only to send what you subscribed to. Each is a separate consent, recorded with the date and the wording you agreed to, and every email carries an unsubscribe link. Product availability updates are sent only to healthcare professionals and pharmacies. We do not share subscriber lists with anyone.
Website analytics and cookies
If you accept statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to understand how the website is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive and what kind of device and browser they use. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically.
Google processes this data on our behalf. It may be transferred to the United States; such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. If you do not consent, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
Every cookie we use, and the button to change your choice, is listed in our cookie policy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to processing, and the right to data portability. Contact motagon@motagon.eu. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal. You may also complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it with service providers acting on our instructions, under written agreement.
Knowledge Centre accounts
When you register for the Knowledge Centre we collect your first and last name, email address, profession, specialty, professional registration number, country of practice, workplace, city and, optionally, a telephone number. We use these details only to verify that you are a healthcare professional and to run your account. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in making information about prescription-only medicines available to healthcare professionals only.
The details are seen only by the Motagon staff who approve registrations and by our website hosting provider as a processor. We do not sell them or pass them to third parties for marketing.
We keep the details for as long as the account exists and for three years afterwards. You can delete your account at any time from My account or by writing to motagon@motagon.eu; after deletion we remove the details within 30 days, except for records we are required by law to keep.
The optional consents for news and availability emails are separate and can be withdrawn at any time from My account or by replying to any email.
